The Backcountry Recreation Club is organized as a non profit organization for the purpose of providing social, educational and recreational activities for its membership, participating in and supporting civic activities for the betterment of the Burgdorf, Secesh and Warren communities, and preserving and manitaining existing roads and trails.

Next Meeting:

McCall, ID - After almost four years of information gathering, public input, and analysis, the Payette National Forest has released the Record of Decision (ROD). An open house will be held at the Payette National Forest Supervisor's Office at 800 West Lakeside Avenue,Wednesday, September 29, 2008. The purpose of this open house is to provide information and to answer questions. Appeals can be filed up to 45 days from the date the legal notice was published in the Idaho Statesman (September 8th was the anticipated date). Only individuals or organizations that submitted comments or otherwise expressed interest in the project during the comment period may appeal. The Backcountry Recreation Club commented from scoping through the FEIS. Please let me know if you see points that we should be appealing or if you need a copy of the ROD.

The Council/New Meadows ROD will be released soon. The Winter Travel Management Plan won't be released until spring 2009.
