When people ask me where I grew up, I sometimes tell them outside. That's probably the most accurate description. I attended kindergarten through high school in Roseburg, Oregon. I've found that everyone either has lived in Roseburg or knows someone who has. It's a great place to grow up. Close to the ocean and the mountains and perfect for a person who loves the out of doors. I was fortunate to grow up in a family that went skiing every weekend during the winter and camping/fishing/hiking every weekend during the summer. We lived out in the country, so I really did grow up outside, and loved every minute of it!

I attended Oregon State University and graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture. I worked for the University and a number of companies related to agriculture and then was given the opportunity to work for U.S. Bank as their Farm & Ranch Trust Officer. That gave me my first exposure to the field of real estate and the managing and selling of farm and ranch property.

It has been a tradition in my family for the oldest child to move at least out of state, if not to a new country, and true to this tradition, I moved to Idaho.

First Security Bank recruited me to Idaho to manage their Trust Real Estate Department. That's what brought me to the McCall area. I fell in love with this part of the mountains, ended up buying several pieces of property and dreaming of getting a job that (1) didn't involve being on the road half the time and (2) gave me the chance to live here year around.

I've been living and working in the real estate business in McCall since 1999. Knipe Land Co., Inc. has been in business in Idaho for over 60 years. We are members of the Mountain Central Multiple Listing Service and the Intermountain Multiple Listing Service. Injuries keep me from being able to hit the ski slopes any more, but you will find me outside no matter what time of the year, usually in the Secesh/Warren area if I'm not working.
