We are waiting to see when the road opens. At this point we are betting on sometime in early June. We have 7 1/2' of snow at Secesh Summit (5/2) and no bare patched on the road to Warren.

The Forest Service has cancelled their meeting scheduled for May 14th to discuss the Summer Travel Plan. It will be rescheduled, probably for late June. The Winter Travel Plan won't be out until late fall/early winter. We will be riding under the old plan through the winter of 08/09.

Burgdorf Hot Springs (208-636-3036) and the Winter Inn in Warren (208-636-4393)are open. If you are riding in to Warren for burgers with a group, you might call ahead to let them know you are coming. I'm going in on Sunday.

2007/2008 Grooming:
May 1: Grooming is over for the season but we still have a lot of snow. I'm headed to Warren on Sunday for a burger.

No grooming reported this past week. The trail to Warren is a little bumpy at the bottom, but still very rideable. Fresh snow over the weekend. There are not brown spots in the trail yet. We had 8+ feet of snow last Sunday on Secesh Summit. You can still get burgers in Warren. 4/19/08.
